The first on-site event of this virtual cycling world championship took place in Paseo de la
Castellana, next to Santiago Bernabeu stadium, on the 12 th of May. Furthermore, the event coincided with the last stage of the "Vuelta Ciclista a Madrid 2019".
Throughout the morning, almost one hundred of participants pedaled trying to get a place
for the grand finale of September in Festibike. |
The virtual cycling is a discipline that is becoming increasingly popular amongst the fans.
To carry out the project, Movistar has partnered with the indoor cycling platform of Bkool,
a platform that has developed a software that allows the user to train and compete with its
bicycle from its own house. |
